This flavorful and easy recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal or a casual weekend dinner. The tilapia is marinated in a simple mixture of peppers, spices, and lemon slices, then grilled or baked to perfection. The result is a tender, juicy fish with a touch of heat.
INGREDIENTS
1Kg large Global Tilapia fish
2 small green bell pepper
2 small red bell pepper
(spicy and hot add chilli peppers or scotch bonnet peppers)
Small onion
oil of choice
1 full chicken seasoning cube/powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
Lemon slices
Additional salt for fish
INSTRUCTIONS
1.In a blender or grinder, Add red,green peppers,onion Grind/Blend.(EXTRA HOT ADD CHILLI PEPPERS OR SCOTCH BONNETS)
2.In a pan ,add oil.Once hot,add in the pepper/onion mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
3.Add in the chicken seasoning cubes,smoked paprika and salt.Let it cook for 3 minutes and set aside.
4.Pat dry the Global Tilapia Fish with a kitchen towel.
5.Line aluminium foil on a baking tray and place the tilapia
6.Cut slices across the tilapia fish.
7.Sprinkle Salt all over the tilapia.
8.Spread the cooked pepper mixture on top of the fish as well as inside the fish.Place a few lemon slices inside the tilapia.
Grill for 20 minutes covered then 8 minutes opened.
Bake in preheated 425°f/ 220°c for 30 minutes without covering the fish
AIR FRYER at 350°f/175°c for 25 minutes
